It’s the phone which everyone has used and is famed as being quite indestructible. Launched in 2000, it precedes modern smartphones by over a decade and was the pinnacle of the success of the once-great Nokia. Famed for being sturdy, reliable and with a battery that seemed to last forever, reliable leaker Evan Blass claims that the Nokia 3310 is ready to make a comeback.
However, it might not be the good old phone we all knew and loved: Finnish manufacturer HMD Global Oy, who have the rights to market Nokia brand phones, will launch a “modern version” of 3310 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 26 February 2017, at the low, low price of $63.
The report was scarce on details and revealed no more but everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that the reboot will include the legendary game from the original phone, Snake.
Evan Blass also reports that, during the event in Barcelona, HMD will launch the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. The company will also promote the already released Nokia 6, which has so far only been available in China.
